Job Description

Working in a diverse operational HR Team you will collaborate to support Council Services, Managers, Employees and our Trade Unions, and use your knowledge and experience to help us continue to introduce and improve operational HR Policy, processes and procedures, and to find solutions to problems which support us all to thrive, and enable us to work together throughout our ongoing transformational change programme.

You will provide professional advice to employees and managers, with support from the Senior HR Business Partner, on employment related issues such as terms and conditions, organisational change, attendance management, wellbeing, and discipline and grievance. You will also be able to use your influence, and skills, to promote a ‘Think How’ approach, to help ensure we have the right people with the right skills in the right place at the right time, to support the changing environment ahead.

You must have the ability to plan and prioritise your workload, have excellent communication and influencing skills, and tact and diplomacy when dealing with sensitive situations. Ideally you should have relevant HR Policy and Advice experience in an operational setting, and qualified to CIPD Level 5. A full driving license is essential.
