Stirling Council recently submitted a City Region Deal which has the potential to lead to major infrastructure investment within the Stirling area. Based in Endrick House, Stirling, and under the direction of the Bridges, Flooding and Drainage Team Leader, we are seeking an individual to provide direct line management for a small team of Bridges Officers/Inspectors, organising assessments of the live load capacities of roads and other structures, and also coordinating the provision of professional design and project management services for a range of maintenance and capital projects which meet quality, cost and time requirements. The post holder will also be required to take forward bridge maintenance and strengthening projects from conception through to completion, including design, project arrangements and site supervision as necessary. Co-ordination, administration and monitoring of design and project functions, including the preparation, issue and assessment of contractual arrangements and briefs for the provision of professional services, is also a feature of this post. You will also be responsible for provision of advice in connection with roads related structure design and engineering aspects of projects. Educated to degree level, you will possess relevant post qualification experience in Bridge Management, Bridge Maintenance or Bridge Design.
