In support of that strategy, this role demands highly effective communication skills, with astute political awareness, and a commitment to the design of services that are agile and present best value for our communities. You will have a drive to embed learning which can challenge existing practice and develop new models of service delivery, supporting a continuous improvement culture across all Council services.

A working knowledge and appreciation of financial governance, gained at a senior level, ideally within a political environment, will be required to fulfil the duties of this role. We require an analytical thinker who can demonstrate a positive, proactive outlook and results-driven approach, with the ability to motivate and work with others, building relationships to support the delivery of efficient, customer-focused, public services.
