An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Land Services Team as a Modern Apprentice, within Roads and Land Services.
Working within the Land Services team, you will work on activities, which will include street cleaning, general grounds maintenance, grass cutting, cemeteries, play and countryside maintenance operations, learning a variety of skills and techniques in the respective Land Service areas.
As a Modern Apprentice, you will work towards either a Horticulture Level 2 SVQ or Frontline Environment Services Level 2 SVQ, emergency first aid and a pesticides qualification, and be willing to undertake any other training relevant to the role. You will be 16-19 years old and be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm for this role and have a commitment to learn. As part of the interview process, you may be required to take part in a work trial.
The successful candidates will demonstrate a real interest in a Land Services discipline, possess good communication skills, and importantly, an ability to demonstrate drive and enthusiasm for the Modern Apprentice role.
Candidates will be aged 16-19 by 31 August 2017 or an official summer school leaver.
