Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Cemeteries Team within Land Services as a Monumental Technician Apprentice. Working within the Cemeteries team, you will work on activities including the memorial survey and repair programme, learning how to carry out repairs using traditional methods, assist with interment services and carry out grounds maintenance. As an Apprentice, you will undertake a bespoke training package including a Monumental Technician National Progress Award, training in Making & Using Traditional Mortars, Emergency first aid and a pesticides spraying qualification, and be willing to undertake any other training relevant to the role. You will be 18-25 years old and be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm for this role and have a commitment to learn. As part of the interview process, you may be required to take part in a work trial. The successful candidate will demonstrate a real interest in a Land Services discipline, possess good communication skills, and importantly, an ability to demonstrate drive and enthusiasm for the Apprenticeship role.
