As part of the global learning and pastoral support of young people, Wallace High School is seeking to increase the provision of Support for Learning Assistants (SLAs) within the team aligning with the priorities of the Pupil Equity Fund.
Support for Learning Assistants play a key role in helping support young people. The core demands of the role include, but not exclusive, are: supporting class teachers within the classroom; assisting in supporting pupil's attainment through practical help; supporting positive behaviour and encouraging acceptable choices; assisting in implementing the school's behaviour management policy.
Candidates will be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, show a willingness to work as part of a team and hold excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
