An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Skills and Youth Employment Team for a Youth Participation Worker. The post holder will take a key role in developing youth participation across Stirling. The post holder will work alongside local young people to build their capacities as successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors to society. As part of the wider Skills and Youth Employment Team the post holder will help to identify appropriate volunteering ad accreditation opportunities for young people
In preparation for the Year of Young People 2018, a dynamic and innovative individual is required to support youth participation locally and nationally, as well as supporting local and national partnerships within the wider youth participation arena.
The post holder will offer direct support to our local MSYPs, Stirling Youth Forum, Participative Democracy Certificates in schools and develop the ongoing preparation for YOYP18. The successful applicant will have a unique opportunity to be involved in creating and developing a range of ways in which young people can have their voices heard in Stirling.
