Job Description

As a Care Coordinator in a modern 84 bedded Care Home, your role will be to lead and direct the care team to ensure delivery of person centred care for our Residents. You will be welcomed as part of our management team within Crosslet House and your role will involve promoting quality standards to comply with current legislation and council policy.

Other duties will include carring out the required administrative and financial procedures, contributing to staff development & staff wellbeing, Residents reviews, care planning and medication administration, both of which are on electronic systems. You will also promote and encourage meaningful activity and interaction throughout your day.

You must either possess an SVQ 4 in care or be willing to work towards this within a period as defined by the management.

This is a 30 hrs per week post. As this is a part time post the salary will be pro rata to the number of hours worked.

Requirements

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Adults and/or Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.

Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.

Responsibilities

In the line with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2003, the Authority requires you to declare all convictions defined as unspent in terms of the act as the post is classified as an ‘excepted post’. Prior to any offer of appointment the council will undertake a PVG check.
