Job Description

A vacancy has arisen for a Clerical/Admin Assistant within West Dunbartonshire's Health and Social Care Partnership.

We are seeking an efficient and effective Clerical/Admin Assistant to assist the Respite Coordinator with the development and provision of respite and short breaks for carers in West Dunbartonshire. West Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership is committed to ensuring that Short Breaks/Respite are provided to carers to enable them to have a break from their caring role and to support them in their caring role.

We promote an individual, creative, personalised, person centred approach to short breaks that will meet the needs of each carer (and the cared for person). This is in line with the human rights approach to the National Health and Care Standards as well as the Self Directed Services legislation.

The successful candidate will hold an administration related qualification or equivalent relevant experience in an administrative support function. 

Requirements

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Adults and/or Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.

Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.

Responsibilities

The employment for which you are applying is excepted from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975.
