An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Finance Assistant within West Dunbartonshire’s Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) Finance Team. The successful candidate will support both the Integrated Health & Social Care Finance Team and the wider Health & Social Care Partnership (HSCP) Service Areas in developing an effective integrated Finance Service that assists and supports the strategic objectives of the Health & Social Care Partnership.

The post holder will contribute to developing, communicating and ensuring adherence to financial policy and strategy within the context of a best value environment and strong partnership working, while ensuring high levels of service delivery in line with the HSCP’s corporate objectives. They will also provide an integrated accounting support service to the wider HSCP Service Area and a comprehensive range of high
quality services across the Partnership, their service users and external organisations that work in partnership with the HSCP.

The HSCP is an established innovative partnership, responsible for delivering all primary care, local community health and social care services to the population of West Dunbartonshire in an integrated way. Working as an integral member of the HSCP Finance Team the successful applicant (under the guidance of the HSCP Finance Manager) will contribute to the overall performance of the Social Care team in a role which provides high quality financial management information and accounting and business planning input and advice. 

It is desirable that the post holder has a relevant accountancy qualification to HNC level (or equivalent experience) and an understanding of government legislation relevant to Health and Social Care. The successful applicant will be required to adapt and prioritise workload based on changing circumstances, whilst maintaining timescales and meeting deadlines.
