This is a fixed term post expected to last until 31/01/2023 but may end sooner or be extended further.
This is a part time post and the salary will be pro-rata'd to the number of hours worked.
Applications are invited for the temporary post of Insurance Assistant which is located within a busy Insurance Team which services all of West Dunbartonshire Council’s main service areas as well as West Dunbartonshire Leisure Trust, Dunbartonshire and Argyll & Bute Valuation Joint Board and Clydebank Property Company.
The successful applicant will support the Insurance Team Leader in delivering an efficient and effective service. General duties will include processing insurance claims made by or against the Council, assisting with the Council’s insurance renewal procedures and tendering processes, liaising with internal and external customers in relation to a wide range of insurance related matters, maintaining computerised filing and record systems and providing management information as required as well as assisting with requests under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 and subject access requests under the General Data Protection Act (GDPR) to ensure statutory requirements are met.
You should have experience of working in a customer focused environment, dealing with members of the public, in person and by telephone and have good interpersonal, numeracy and computer literacy skills demonstrating experience of MS Office applications.
You should have a flexible approach to meet service demands/deadlines and be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
