SVQ Level 3 (SCQF 7) Nursery/Childcare Modern Apprenticeship Opportunities Various Locations throughout West Dunbartonshire. Hours – 35 hours per week
West Dunbartonshire Council Children Services, Early Years Section provides nursery provision for children 0 –5 years. The successful candidates will work in a nursery setting and be based within the West Dunbartonshire Council area. The Modern Apprentice will gain skills and knowledgewhile working with babies, young children and families.
The Modern Apprentice will be supervised and trained by qualified staff and are required to work towards gaining a recognised SVQ qualification. You will work towards an SVQ Level 3 in Social Services (Children and Young People) (SCQF 7). In addition you will learn Core Skills such as Communication, Working with Others, Numeracy, Problem Solving and IT. You will also attend workshop classes for your theory and underpinning knowledge as part of the SVQ.
If you are aged 16 24 years old, live within the West Dunbartonshire Council area and have an interest in Childcare gained through on the job training, relevant experience or equivalent qualification i.e. entry to early education & childcare, and /or three National 4’s or three National 5’s including English or equivalent qualifications,we would like to hear from you.
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.
