Job Description

This is a fixed term post until 31/12/2024.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to develop and deliver the award wining and internationally recognised Heritage Lottery Project to increase awareness and understanding of the Antonine Wall. The Rediscovering the Antonine Wall project was the first project of its type whereby 5 local authorities are working together with Historic Environment Scotland to increase the awareness, understanding and engagement with the Antonine Wall World Heritage Site and to better connect communities and visitors to the Wall.

The post-holder will be responsible for managing and delivering the remaining Re-discovering the Antonine Wall project elements to a successful conclusion and consulting on and completing strategic planning documents for a follow on phase - Reimagining the Antonine Wall and for seeking funding to support the implementation of these plans.

The Project is managed by West Dunbartonshire Council with the Project Manager working directly with the Antonine Wall WHS Co-ordinator at Historic Environment Scotland and being responsible to the Steering Group. You should be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline and have experience of managing medium to large scale financial projects and be experienced of multi agency collaborative working. You should be pragmatic, a "can do" attitude and be enthusiastic of the benefits of heritage regeneration, working as part of a team as well as independently.
