The new state of the art primary school in Calderwood, East Calder will provides non-denominational education for 13 primary classes and a large nursery class. The new school is required to cope with increasing demand in the growing Calderwood Core Development Area which will see a significant number of new homes being built over the next ten years.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and reliable individual to join our champion team in ensuring the provision of an efficient & effective clerical support service to Calderwood Primary and Nursery. The main duties will include the organisation of lunches, ordering and invoicing school supplies using school-based systems along with other daily admin duties including enrolment, filing and dealing with enquiries.  You will also be a main point of contact for our parents/carers ensuring good communication and confidentiality. This role also includes daily break and lunch supervisor hours and the responsibility for nursery clerical tasks.

The hours are:

  • Monday – Thursday: 8:30-2:45pm
  • Friday: 8:30 – 11:30am

The postholder will take up post in August 2022.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
