 35 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, salary pro rata, Fixed term to 19 August 2018.

St John Ogilvie PS and Woodlands Nursery serve the communities of Livingston North (Eliburn, Deans and Knightsridge). The school roll is currently 385 pupils over 14 classes with 70 Nursery children.

The staff team is comprised of 23 teachers, 6 pupil support workers, 2 administrative assistants and 4 nursery nurses.

In November 2015 the school achieved a successful Education Scotland inspection.

Since May 2017, the school has been led by the acting head teacher while the substantive head teacher has been seconded to the Quality Improvement Officer Team within the authority.

The school population is marked by a diverse range of ethnic and social backgrounds. The school community enjoys strong links with the local parish of St Peter’s in Carmondean and benefits from highly effective parental and community partnerships. These partnerships are also evident in the school’s strong and collaborative culture. St John Ogilvie is part of the St Margaret’s Academy cluster of schools.
