An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our successful, dynamic and supportive school team within Whitdale Primary School. Whitdale Primary School is a large two stream non-denominational school on the east side of Whitburn. The school’s vision is to create a safe and happy community, and a curriculum which inspires, engages, challenges and enables learning that lasts a lifetime. These values sit firmly at the centre of what the school wants to deliver for all children and it is their constant intention that no child is ever left behind as a result of disadvantage, poverty or inequity.
The school is currently staffed by the Head Teacher, Depute Head Teacher (vacancy), 2 Principal Teacher and 15 Class Teachers, all of whom have an area of responsibility to allow empowerment and leadership at all levels. In the ELC, there is an enthusiastic and expanded team of Early Years practitioners with 2 Early Years Officers and an Equity and Excellence Lead. The school is supported effectively by a team of Pupil Support Workers, who assist pupils across the school and Early Years Centre. Admin and clerical support is provided by an Administrative Assistant and Clerical support. The school also runs a very successful Breakfast Club. The school also benefits from a supportive and active Parent Council.
