Eastertoun Primary is a non-denominational school in Armadale, which benefits from a mixed catchment area in terms of socio-economic background. The school comprises of 11 primary classes and a Nursery Class.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the enthusiastic and committed Eastertoun staff team who put relationships at the heart of all they do.
The role of the PEF Health and Wellbeing pupil support worker in the school will be to provide support to ensure pupils feel included and respected as well as engaged in appropriate learning experiences to meet their social and emotional needs. The successful candidate will bringing enthusiasm and a knowledge of nurturing schools. They will ensure nurturing relationships between staff and learners, while developing effective relationships between school and home. They will work as part of the Support for Learning team and closely with the Support for Learning coordinator to provide high quality interactions and deliver creative learning experiences, which meet the needs of all our learners.
This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from commencement in this post to register with the SSSC.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
