IT Services is a friendly, vibrant and fast-moving department with a focus on delivering excellent customer service and high-quality digital technology services to our staff and students.

Due to a recent reorganisation of the department several new and exciting opportunities have become available.

We now seek to appoint an experienced IT Infrastructure Operations Officer.

Reporting to the Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the University’s IT infrastructure, responding to system events and escalated incidents. You will have significant experience of working in an enterprise environment supporting and developing Linux systems and associated technology.

Experience of working with CentOS or Oracle Linux, DNS, PKI and Linux scripting, such as Python and Bash is essential. Administration of VMware and Windows based systems on premise or in Azure is desirable.

The post holder will have excellent problem-solving skills, communication skills and be able to work under pressure.

Expected to respond to colleagues, students and stakeholders needs with the intention to provide an excellent service and able to work methodically, prioritising and managing tasks.
