We are currently seeking a Light Vehicle Automotive Lecturer with experience and skills within Light Vehicle Automotive Engineering. The post-holder is predominantly based at Sighthill Campus, however you may be required to work within other campuses.

The successful post-holder will be required to deliver classroom theories and workshop practice subject matter within the current light vehicle automotive frameworks. The related subjects will be within light vehicle service, repair and diagnostic principles. However, it will be desirable to have a skill set within a heavy vehicle service and repair context too.

Candidates must be educated to HNC or SVQ3 MA SCQF Level 7 (or equivalent) e.g. City and Guilds Level 3/IMI Level 3. You must have relevant experience in the industry as a time served modern apprenticeship or industry qualified Technician in light vehicle maintenance and repair or an engineering equivalent. Skills and knowledge in a heavy vehicle context plus additional accredited specialisms would be advantageous. Furthermore, candidates must possess a wide knowledge and experience of the curriculum area, both theory and practice.

Although based in Sighthill Campus, the successful candidate may be required to work at any Edinburgh College campus.
