Location - You will be employed initially at Edinburgh College: Granton Campus, but you may be required to serve at other workplaces and to travel during the course of your employment.

Role/SubjectSpecific Information

Edinburgh College is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified person to take up the post of Engineering Workplace Assessor to co-ordinate and assess the Modern Apprentice programs within the Engineering curriculum areas.

What you will offer us

This role involves providing support to both apprentices and employers throughout their course of study, as well accurately assessing apprentices work to ensure it meets the awarding body standards. The role also involves liaising with potential new employers to promote the colleges apprentice program.

The primary function is to co-ordinate and assess the Modern Apprentice program for a specialist area, Brickwork. The role will provide support to the apprentices throughout their course of study and be the point of contact in working towards their award.

Educated to SVQ3 in Brickwork, you will possess knowledge of sustainable and new technologies and possess professional experience and up to date skills in general Construction.

Assessor's award qualification (L&D9DI, A1 orD32/33 assessor qualification), verifiers' award qualification (L&D11 or D34/35). Post apprenticeship qualifications, Advanced Craft, would also be desirable.
