We are currently seeking applications for Business Support Assistants based in Glasgow, Livingston, Aberdeen or Dundee. This is a permanent and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. We are currently seeking applications for eight Business Support Assistants within the Corporate Services directorate at Education Scotland.

The main purpose of the Business Support Assistant role is to provide business planning and support to the directorates across the organisation.

Qualifications Required

For jobs in Band A, you must hold a minimum of 5 Standard Grades (grades 1–3) or Ordinary Grades (A-C) including English and a numerical subject.

Essential Criteria

1. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage your workload. Along with using your own initiative to balance competing priorities and ensure deadlines are met.

2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build good working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and collaborate effectively.

3. Experience of working in a fast paced office environment, proficient in the use of Outlook, Word and Excel IT packages.

4. Ability to collate different forms of data to provide appropriate information to senior management
