Working in partnership with the Director, Business Development, and with the relevant Department(s) and Commercial Engagement Co-ordinators, you will identify training and development opportunities, build markets and drive new income generation through direct client liaison activities, market intelligence, product and/or service design and development, creation and submission of tenders and bids for work.

Managing the complete client sales cycle, and with the ability to lead when necessary in terms of presentations to clients and internal groups, you will pull together bid teams, and develop a deep understanding of client needs through a consultative approach and designing credible solutions which meet clients’ needs.

To be considered for this post, you must hold a Diploma or similar qualification and preferably have relevant Industrial experience in Engineering or Management as the successful applicants will be working with either the Engineering or Business School Faculties.

You must have proven experience of working within a sales or business development environment, as well as experience of designing and developing business services or solutions that meet client needs, are essential.

Organisation and effective communication skills are essential to ensure the efficient management of resources and the development of productive relationships both within the Department, the wider College and with external stakeholders.

Although you will be based within our Halbeath campus in Dunfermline, there will be a requirement to travel as part of your role.
