As a Lead Operations Technician within the Service Delivery team you will coordinate the delivery of the first and second line support service within your base campus, facilitate and encourage cross-campus communication within the Operations Team and act as an escalation point for the Operations Technicians on your base campus.

You will work closely with the Operations Team Leader and Service Delivery Manager to develop and enhance the first and second line support service to ensure that it meets the needs of end users and will play a key role in shaping how the College deploys, manages and supports end user systems, services and equipment.

By fostering strong working relationships with end users on your base campus, you will develop a broad understanding of their priorities and will actively engage with the Operations Technicians on your base campus and colleagues from across the Digital Services directorate to ensure that these needs are met in a timely fashion that exceeds expectations.

It is essential that you are educated to HND level or equivalent (SCQF level 8), or have equivalent professional experience/qualifications in a relevant area. You should also have a passion for providing an excellent end user experience, a keen interest in technology and an attention to detail and desire to see things through to completion.

The scope of the Lead Operations Technician role is varied. Engaging with teams across the College, the Service Delivery department supports a wide range of systems, services and equipment. As part of this larger department, the Lead Operations Technician will have a broad understanding of all aspects of work undertaken which will be supplemented with a high level of technical specialism around enterprise IT/end user support.
