The Department of STEM and Construction wish to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Fabrication & Welding Engineering Lecturer to work with learners across SCQF levels 5 to 7.
You will produce high quality learning, teaching and assessment materials, and deliver excellent teaching relative to the specialist areas of Fabrication/Welding. Candidates with significant relevant industrial experience in relevant engineering experiences will be considered. Ideally, candidates will hold a relevant Higher National qualification or Degree, or professional equivalent. Teaching experience is desirable but not essential; the successful candidate should be prepared to work toward a professional teaching qualification, Assessor and Verifier qualifications. The role will be a split between delivery of practical, experiential learning within the engineering workshops and direct teaching in a classroom environment.
Ideally, you will work as part of a team to ensure that the curriculum is relevant and up-to-date. You will also have appropriate ICT skills and possess good knowledge and understanding of health and safety.
The Department of STEM and Construction operates across three campuses and there may be a requirement to work at all campuses.
