Job Description

Lecturer - Food Production
£34,170 - £42,357 (pro-rata)
0.2 FTE / 7 Hours
Based at Stirling Campus
Fixed-term until June 2022

You will produce high quality learning, teaching and assessment materials, and deliver excellent teaching within the specialist area of bakery and patisserie. This post requires industry experience of advanced patisserie subjects in the following areas - chocolate work, sugar or isomalt work and pastillage.

Ensuring that the curriculum is relevant and up-to-date, you will contribute to the development of elements of provision and enhance students’ learning through providing support. You will naturally have a strong learner focus. You will work with others to develop new approaches to teaching, making use of various digital learning technologies.

With a minimum of HNC in Professional Cookery (or equivalent) or significant relevant industrial experience in this area, you will have an Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate (or equivalent). Ideally, you will hold Assessor and Verifier qualifications and a Personal Development Award in Teaching, or have a willingness to work towards achieving these.
