Forth Valley College is one of Scotland’s leading providers of education and training based in the central belt. The college is a vibrant learning community made up of around 14,500 student enrolments and 650 staff. With three state-of-the-art campuses in Alloa, Falkirk and Stirling, Forth Valley is a college that is ‘Making Learning Work’ for its staff, students and stakeholders. The department of Creative Industries, Hospitality and Tourism is looking for a Lecturer to deliver evening classes in Screen Printing printmaking with an emphasis on digital colour separation processes.

You will produce high quality learning and teaching materials, and plan and deliver excellent teaching within the specialist area of Screen Printing. You will work to develop new approaches to teaching, making use of learning technologies. You will naturally have a strong learner focus.

You will have a degree (or equivalent) in a related subject and ideally hold a teaching qualification, such as TQFE. You will be experienced in Screen Printing, and will be able to provide delivery across a wide range of levels.

You will be expected to develop material appropriate to the delivery of the evening provision and you will ideally have appropriate industry experience and knowledge, in particular working in Graphic Design and Screen Printing and you should have working knowledge of specialist software including Adobe Photoshop. You will translate this into an exciting, dynamic and creative learning experience for students undertaking the evening provision.

Crucially, you will be passionate about creativity and providing outstanding training and learning for the practitioners of tomorrow, as part of a wider Creative Industries department.

This post is subject to successful recruitment of a satisfactory number of candidates onto the programme.
