Our award winning Sir Alex Ferguson library sits at the heart of GCU’s Glasgow Campus and supports learning, teaching and research across the institution and its many partners both locally and internationally. The Library holds Customer Service Excellence accreditation.

Working as part of library’s Academic Liaison team you will develop and deliver in-person and online information literacy classes and workshops, manage subject enquiries and student contact and promote the library across the school and wider institution.  You will work directly with students, staff and researchers at all levels both at the Glasgow campus and across our international campuses and partner institutions and will be the key contact for GCU’s Glasgow School for Business and Society.  You will contribute to the development of the service with a strong focus on delivering an excellent student experience and actively seek opportunities to improve work practices and services.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree Level and hold a relevant professional qualification. They will be able to develop and maintain effective working relationships and to promote the library and its services at all levels across the organisation. They will have a clear understanding of the importance of Information and Digital Literacy. They will be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines and be committed to learning new skills. Excellent teaching and presentation skills are essential. The role holder must deliver an excellent student service both in person and online.
