Corporate Applications is a team, sitting within GCU’s Information Technology Department.  It supports and maintains the main business applications used by the university, such as the Student Information Management System, Finance and HR, as well as a number smaller but equally important applications that are crucial to the operation of the university.

The role will mainly focus on ESB/SOA integration along with .NET and C# development, as well as maintenance of in-house web parts and applications.  The role also involves the maintenance of the legacy point to point integrations as well as playing a key role in the migration of these integrations to an ESB. The successful candidate will be proficient in C#.NET as well as having experience in REST, SOAP, XML, XSD, XSL, JSON and ODBC/JDBC.  They will have experience of development work with an enterprise level RDBMS and experience of developing and supporting integrations using an ESB.  Ideally hey should also be familiar with design, testing, debugging, delivering products to a schedule as well as methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile and use of Kanban.

The candidate should also have good documentation and communication skills, be able to work independently and demonstrate an ability to share complex ideas with a groups of people of various technical abilities.

Previous experience of working within the HE sector is desirable.
