The department of Digital Engagement, within the wider Communications and Public Affairs directorate, is tasked with developing and managing the brand and messaging to engage effectively with key audiences and target markets. The department manages the University website and allied digital channels, with an emphasis on developing our brand digitally, in a measurable, demonstrable and targeted way.

About You 

The successful candidate will be degree or college educated with relevant experience. A marketing or brand related professional qualification and knowledge of the Higher Education sector are also desirable but not required.

An accomplished content writer, you will create high impact short and long-form copy for digital communications across social media, blogs, the University’s websites, print and events materials. You will be confident and collaborative, able to commission photography and video for printed and published editorial whilst producing written and multimedia assets of your own to support the University’s ongoing international, UK and local advertising campaigns.

As a key member of the directorate and wider content production community across the University, you will support the University’s strategies and plans by creating digital and printed assets which accurately and effectively reflect the University’s brand. You will work directly with stakeholders, internally and externally, and help translate the University’s business goals into actionable, relatable content.

Creative expertise across social and web content platforms, with knowledge of targeted communications for different demographics is essential to the role. You will have experience of content production tools, e.g. web content management systems, Adobe Creative Suite applications and other production technologies. You will be a confident member of the team, managing your own time effectively and liaising directly with stakeholders and target audiences directly.  You will be comfortable working with academic and professional services staff of all levels across the University’s three international campuses.
