An opportunity has arisen to join us as a Lecturer in Management based within the Department of Management and HRM, located within Glasgow School for Business and Society. The Department delivers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the area of international business, business management, HRM, operations and supply chain management, and social innovation.

The applicant should have the expertise and flexibility to participate in delivering a range of modules across the management discipline in areas such as international business strategy, cross-cultural management, operations management, project management and research methods. Experience of teaching, assessment and student supervision within a blended-learning environment is essential.

Applicants should either be qualified to doctorate level in a relevant business/management discipline, or hold a relevant Masters qualification and be nearing completion of their doctorate (e.g., within 3 months of submission). In addition, applicants should be able to demonstrate a commitment to the publication of research in their chosen field.

Applicants are expected to have excellent written and spoken communication skills and should also be able to demonstrate both a student-centred approach and an ability to work in a collaborative manner with colleagues.  Successful applicants will be expected to undertake a teaching qualification if not already qualified.

All applicants must complete the online application form detailing how they meet the essential and desirable requirement for the role.  A covering letter (1 page) and a short CV may also be included

Please contact Dr Susan Ogden, Head of Department at S.Ogden@gcu.ac.uk for any informal enquiries about the post. Further details about the department can be found at: https://www.gcu.ac.uk/gsbs/aboutus/departments/managementandhrm/
