An exciting opportunity to join the Student Experience Unit has arisen. As a student-focused organisation we are seeking to recruit talented and committed people to provide professional counselling services to our students. Building upon our award winning Mentally Healthy College Project in partnership with SAMH, you will work directly with students to support their recruitment, retention and attainment and help them achieve their full academic potential. You will work as part of the Student Experience Directorate and will work across a range of excellent and student focused safeguarding and support services.

You will be responsible for delivering a wellbeing and counselling service to learners across our three community campuses and will work closely with other support areas, curricular teams and GCCSA, our student association. You will deliver a high quality service for students experiencing emotional and psychological difficulties, promote positive mental health and wellbeing and support teaching staff in their pastoral role with students.

The successful candidate will possess a recognised qualification in counselling / psychotherapy as well as membership of a relevant professional body. You will have relevant experience in the delivery of individual and group sessions as well as experience of crisis intervention referral protocols. You will be working with a diversity of client groups and a wide range of clients of all ages and backgrounds in a vibrant and inclusive learning environment

Salary: £28,107 - £31,066 Per Annum (pro-rata)

Location: Cross Campus. You WILL be required to travel and work within all Glasgow Clyde campuses
