SVQ ASSESSOR – MECHANICAL ENGINEERING (1 FTE) FIXED TERM UNTIL MARCH 2021

The Faculty of Engineering, Computing and the Built Environment are welcoming applications from innovative candidates with a strong background in manufacturing and or mechanical engineering, to assess a range of candidates using National Occupational Standards at level 2 & 3. The candidate has to have completed an apprenticeship in one of the above disciplines. It would be desirable that the successful applicant holds an appropriate Assessor’s Award or completes the required qualification within 3 months of commencing employment.

We are committed to hiring individuals with a “can do” and positive attitude with a willingness to learn and improve on skills and knowledge. We are looking for an individual with a good foundation in manufacturing or mechanical engineering and ideally have experience in an aeronautical environment.

You will be responsible for generating contacts within your own subject area, therefore excellent interpersonal and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to relate well to a range of candidates and employers.
