Vacancies – Temporary Lecturing Opportunities (Bank Staff)

Salary £34,170 - £42,357 per annum pro rata (subject to qualifications and experience)

Faculty of Business and Creative Industries

We currently have opportunities for Temporary Lecturers (Bank Staff) in our Faculty of Business and Creative Industries. We are looking to replenish our pool of bank lecturing staff in the following disciplines: -

  • Acting and Musical Theatre (Performing Arts)
  • Music Business

Faculty of Health, Care, Community and Learner Development

We currently have opportunities for Temporary Lecturers (Bank Staff) in our Faculty of Business and Creative Industries. We are looking to replenish our pool of bank lecturing staff in the following disciplines: -

  • Support for Learning - The successful candidate should have teaching experience and significant industry experience working within supported education or 3rd sector organisations.

Applications are invited from candidates who can demonstrate a commitment to the ethos and vision of the College and help shape and develop a Learning Organisation which best serves the communities of the North East Glasgow and beyond.

You will contribute to ensuring a positive learning environment which encourages active participation and enables all learners to achieve their full potential, through the effective learning and teaching of students by assisting in the development, delivery, and assessment of relevant resources.

This will involve supporting the Curriculum Manager in the delivery of the department curriculum to the quality and standards required, through an integrated learning experience that supports the student journey and high quality learning and teaching experiences. You will be qualified to an appropriate level in a relevant subject area, with relevant teaching and industry experience. A comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential, along with excellent motivational, communication and organisational skills.

You should have experience in providing flexible and innovative approaches to the delivery of your relevant curriculum and recent, relevant industrial experience practising in your teaching discipline.

The successful candidate should possess a relevant HND, degree or post graduate qualification in the relevant discipline (SCQF Level 8 or above) or a vocational equivalent in your specialised area. The successful candidate should possess a formal teaching qualification or be willing to work towards a Teaching Qualification in Further Education (TQFE).
