  • Are you a friendly, independent and motivated person who is comfortable communicating with everyone from 2-year-olds to Senior Leaders?
  • Are you a systematic thinker with an eye for detail?
  • Do you enjoy working with numbers, spreadsheets and financials?
  • Can you work autonomously and take full ownership of a problem?
  • Are you looking for a new challenge in a rewarding and friendly environment?

If so, we want to hear from you.

Hamilton College is a Christian independent school for 2–18-year-olds. For over 35 years, we have been a part of thousands of children's lives, helping to shape and mould them to be the finest that they can be. We want Hamilton College to continue to flourish and we are now looking for the right person to join our Finance Team to support the management of the school’s financial system, which underpins and supports all aspects of the running of the school.

We are seeking a highly organised, professional, approachable, and self-motivated individual to join the Hamilton College Finance Team, whose primary responsibility will be to support the Team in day-to-day invoicing, ledger entry, credit control and direct debit management as well as becoming involved in wider school activities.

Candidates should have a proven track record of working effectively in a previous Finance-related role with good technical understanding of the Microsoft Suite including Windows and Office 365 and have full proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Previous experience with a WCBS PASSfinance system would be advantageous, as would some familiarity with SageHR, but these are not a requirement.

We will provide a great, friendly working environment and a competitive package for the right person. A full job description and person specification is available to download below. The post is for 21 hours per week (all year) and the preferred hours will be 8.30am-12.30pm / 1.30pm (one day per week). There will however be flexibility to change the start and finish times to suit the successful candidate.

To apply for this position, you should provide a covering letter detailing why you are a good fit, as well as providing a CV to Mr Richard Charman, Headteacher. Applications should be emailed to hcapplications@hamiltoncollege.co.uk

Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend an interview and complete a 30-minute role related task. Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be required along with proof of the right to work in the UK.
