As a key member of the HR and Payroll team, you will ensure that the College Payroll is processed accurately, on time and in accordance with organisational timescales and relevant HMRC and other statutory regulations.
Qualified to HND level (SCQF8) or equivalent in a relevant discipline, you will have proven experience of processing and running a payroll in a complex organisation. You will have a good understanding of payroll processes and HMRC rules and regulations as well as knowledge of pension scheme administration. Experience of year end processes and completion of statutory returns is essential and you will be a proficient user of ICT.
With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, combined with strong administrative and organisational skills, you should have a proactive and flexible approach to work and the ability to prioritise your own workload is crucial.
This is a supervisory post and you will also have line management responsibility for the small Payroll Team, so experience of managing staff is desirable.
The main base for this role is our Coatbridge Campus, although you may be required to work at or visit other campuses as part of the delivery of an effective payroll service.
