Queen Victoria School (QVS) is a co-educational Boarding School funded by the Ministry of Defence to educate some 270 children of Service Personnel. The School is set in 45 acres of beautiful Perthshire countryside and offers stable and uninterrupted co-educational boarding for 11 – 18 year olds.

The Social Subjects Department consists of one Principal Teacher and 2 Teachers.

We require an enthusiastic full-time Teacher of Geography, to join the Department. Full details of the post can be found in the Job Pack which is available to view on the QVS website and in Civil Service Jobs.

Applicants must be suitably qualified to teach Geography at Secondary level up to S6. Applicants must be, GTC Scotland registered and also PVG registered prior to taking up post.

Salary is based on SNCT Agreements. In addition, QVS Boarding School Allowance is payable to reflect the requirement to undertake additional boarding duties. Currently this allowance is £7413. However it should be noted that all allowances are under review and there is no guarantee that this will always be available. A commitment to boarding school life, including taking part in extra curricular activities, is essential. The ability to assist in activities in the wider school community such as rugby or hockey coaching, taking part in games, assisting with the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme or Combined Cadet Force, is desirable.
