Regius is an independent Christian School for around 30 Primary aged children, situated close to Edinburgh's Newcraighall station. Founded in 1986, it has a vision of providing "Christian Education to Transform a Generation". Small class sizes enable children to learn at a pace that is right for them. Each child's unique abilities are recognised and developed within a caring and inspirational environment.

The close-knit professional Christian teaching team work collaboratively, ensuring that every child is seen and looked after educationally, physically, and spiritually. As well as focusing on educational excellence, Regius values worship and prayer and underpins everything with a culture of honour.

We are looking for a part-time primary teacher to work with our existing team on Wednesdays-Fridays for 16 hours per week. The successful candidate will have a passion for advancing Christian education, have experience of working with primary school children and have a good understanding of the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence.

This role entails teaching in a composite environment and working with multiple class levels. The specific classes are P2-4 literacy, P5-7 literacy, ICT (or French) for both P1-4 and P5-7, non-number maths for P2-4 and P5-7, PE for P5-7, science for P5-7 and handwriting for P2-7. These classes may change somewhat as the teaching team works together to set the timetable each term.

You must have a current Full Primary education GTCS registration. Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with Children.
