We’re in the business of changing lives, developing students into highly employable graduates. We can only achieve this dramatic transformation of lives by attracting, engaging and growing a diverse range of staff. We want the University, at every level, to reflect the communities in which we live and work.

As an employee of RGU you can therefore expect an inclusive and respectful environment, where you can express your ideas, develop your learning across disciplines and sectors and reach your full potential. You can get insight into working life at RGU by hearing what our staff have to say.

We acknowledge and value the breadth of experiences and perspectives that people from diverse backgrounds bring to the life of the university. This can be seen in many forms across the University, with some examples below:

People with Disabilities: RGU is an approved, ‘Disability Confident’ Employer which means we are working with the government to remove barriers, increase understanding and ensure that disabled people have the opportunities to fulfil their potential and realise their aspirations.

Aurora Programme: Aurora is a women-only leadership development programme which brings together leadership experts and higher education institutions to take positive action to address the under-representation of women in leadership positions.

Internal Networks: To ensure the University remains a vibrant and inclusive environment, we have established a number of network groups to support and encourage staff, to share ideas and to improve the working environment. These include the The LBGT+ staff network and the Women’s Network.
