Demonstrator in Computing 2022/23

Job Summary

The School of Computing at Robert Gordon University is looking to appoint  Demonstrators on a part-time, fixed-term basis to support the teaching of modules across our computing, creative design and data science courses. This is an on-campus role.

Tasks may include but are not limited to teaching, supporting practical sessions, invigilation of assessments and marking. 

You will be given a contract for a maximum of 500 hours of work (including annual leave) on a fixed-term basis. Actual hours worked will be claimed on monthly timesheets and you will likely be allocated 1 to 3 modules per semester, depending on your areas of knowledge.

PURPOSE OF POST: Assist with the delivery of the teaching modules within the School of Computing.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

Provide support for

• labs/workshops/practical
• tutorials
• skills instruction
• project administration
• marking

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications and Professional Memberships

Degree in Computer Science or related subject.

Knowledge

Practical knowledge in Computing

Experience

Strong Programming skills

Knowledge

Knowledge of current learning and teaching approaches, including e-learning
