Robert Gordon’s College, is offering the rare and exciting opportunity for an energetic, people orientated individual to join our team as the Manager of our nursery provision. If you are an innovative and progressively minded Manager with a sector leading approach and feel confident you are capable of supporting and leading an experienced nursery team, you could be who we are looking for.

In liaison with the Deputy Head of Junior School with responsibility for the Nursery, the successful applicant will organise, undertake and manage the tasks required to plan and deliver an Early Years programme that is balanced, flexible and of a high quality in order to support play and learning in a childcare service where children can learn to feel self-confident, valued and respectful of others in a caring and nurturing environment. Working in collaboration with the Nursery Teacher, the post holder will lead and support the Early Learning and Childcare provision, fostering an ethos of teamwork within the Nursery staff. By providing professional support and training to the Early Years Practitioners, and personal participation in on-going continuous professional development, the post holder will ensure the nursery provision continues to strive to be a sector leading example of care and education in an early years setting.

It is essential that applicants must have relevant experience of working in a Childcare setting at a promoted level and be registered with the SSSC at Practitioner level or above. The Nursery Manager will fulfil the role of Registered Manager with the SSSC and so applicants must also hold, or work towards achieving the appropriate qualification to maintain this registration.
