Total of 37.5 hrs per week with a rate of pay between £10.21 and £11.76 per hour depending on experience and certification.
St George’s are looking to hire an experienced Estates Assistant for this hands-on role to assist with the daily functioning of the school to ensure a safe and satisfactory working and learning environment.
This post is carried out 5 days out of 7 and will include Saturday and/or Sunday working on a rota basis. The default hours during the week are 8:00am to 4:00pm, with a half hour unpaid lunch. Timings on Saturdays and Sundays will be subject to weekend lets.
Duties will include a mixture of:
Performing a range of maintenance tasks, opening and locking buildings for weekend lets, as well as setting-up, furniture moving and/or cleaning rooms for special events or after lets.
The ideal applicant will have previous experience in a similar type of role, and applicants with some carpentry, plumbing or decorating skills would be most welcome. Having basic IT skills would be considered essential for accessing electronic work logs.
