Salary: Grade 5 (Points 22 to 27) (£28,201 to £32,753 per annum)

Are you ready to smash down barriers? At West Lothian College, it is our goal to inspire and enable success for all. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a key cross-college role, co-ordinating between the vital legislative duties of public sector organisations, but simultaneously driving forward change as part of a team. We want to continuously challenge the difficulties students face in reaching their goals, and to support staff to fully realise this change.

This role will ideally suit a motivated and proactive individual who is passionate about fairness and equality of opportunity. You will work closely with all areas across the college, developing and supporting work to further embed equality, diversity and widening access.

We have created an exciting framework for this, but are now able to recruit this key role in bringing it all to life.

You will have significant experience working in a role leading change, with demonstrable skills in policy and/or report writing.  Your data science skills will be on point and you will able to evidence success in leading change.  You will be qualified to HND (SCQF Level 8) or equivalent. Excellent skills with Microsoft Excel and PowerBI would be desirable.

You will possess excellent problem-solving skills and strong abilities to deal with the complexity that surrounds the many issues that face students in further and higher education. You will be skilled in working in a proactive manner with a range of stakeholders.

Working for the college you will benefit from a generous leave entitlement, career average pension scheme, excellent on-site facilities such as gym and restaurant, together with transport, health, wellbeing benefits and retail discounts. The college is located within the town centre with an array of shops and restaurants all within a few minutes walking distance.

One of our core values at West Lothian College is being welcoming to all. We recognise the benefits that a diverse workforce with different values, beliefs, experience, and backgrounds brings to us as an organisation so we encourage all to apply who are interested in the post. In order to encourage people with disabilities to consider working for us, we are a Disability Confident employer. We support, encourage and develop our people regardless of background – respecting diversity and promoting inclusion.
