Information Point Assistant

Fixed Term until 31 July 2023

Full time, 35 hours per week

Salary: Grade 2, Points 5 to 11

£19,331 to £21,839 (subject to pending job evaluation)

Our Information Systems faculty are recruiting an Information Point Assistant to provide professional frontline support services, signposting and providing information to staff, visitors and students throughout their learner journey.  You will undertake a wide variety of tasks, dealing with first line enquiries in accordance with College procedures, responding to information requests from all campus customers. You will become a valuable member of the Information Systems Team, providing an efficient and effective service to the college staff, students and visitors.

 

You will a quickly establish yourself as a reliable and trusted source of support, gaining knowledge of college wide products, service, systems and processes and becoming a one-stop information point on matters relating to course enquiries, admissions process, student funding, events, workshops, access to facilities and other support services.

 

This role will ideally suit a proactive, organised and enthusiastic individual, who can work well under pressure and using their own initiative.  As this is a frontline service role it is essential that you have first class customer service skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Qualified at SCQF Level 5 or higher, you will have good IT skills, preferably experience using Microsoft Office applications too.
