Lecturer Construction

Faculty of Computing, Engineering and the Built Environment

Hours: 35 Hours Per Week

Start Date: 1st August 2022

Salary: £34,170 - £42,357 per annum (dependent on experience)

 

West Lothian College are looking to appoint an outstanding Construction lecturer who will demonstrate the necessary commitment and enthusiasm to contribute to their team. Working within the friendly and knowledgeable team within the Faculty of Computing, Engineering & the Built Environment, you will be committed to the delivery of high-quality teaching and a varied learning experience, focussed on progression and employability.

 

Applications are invited for the position of Construction Lecturer to contribute to the delivery and assessment of a range of courses from SCQF Level 4 to Level 6. You will have experience of developing innovative teaching practices along with good organisation planning skills and   evidence of appropriate ICT skills to develop course materials for online and face to face learning. You will embed construction trade disciplines into vocational areas and work flexibly, collaboratively and effectively with other members of the college.  

 

Applicants should be qualified at least SCQF Level 7 and have a background in Construction subjects and a relevant qualification in construction (Carpentry and Joinery) at a minimum of HNC / SVQ Level 3 and an advanced craft qualification. You should have extensive relevant operational experience in carpentry and Joinery as well as other construction disciplines.
