ABOUT THE JOB

In this role you will be a key contributor to ensuring Police Scotland ICT systems remain cyber resilient. The successful candidate will have advanced knowledge, and experience, in performing penetration testing and security assessments.


You will form part of the internal Cyber Assurance governance process and assess and penetration test Police Scotland systems and applications. You will report on the results and provide an objective, independent opinion, recommending the appropriate remediation, risk management and governance.


The successful candidate will join a dynamic, high performance team and work in many key cyber security areas including: Ethical Hacking, Penetration Testing, Security Campaigns, Password Auditing and Cracking, Vulnerability Mitigation and Remediation Advice


This post is flexible across Scotland


ABOUT YOU

You will be educated to Degree level (or equivalent) in an IT Security related subject focusing on Ethical Hacking OR Demonstrable experience in an IT security field.


Extensive experience of designing, developing, implementing and maintaining Penetration Testing frameworks.


A good working knowledge of Information Security best practices.


A driving licence is required


This full time post is permanent and requires Management Level and Security Clearance Vetting. You will work 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.
