ABOUT THE JOB

The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for the provision of high quality financial information and analysis, expert advice and support to their portfolios, supporting service leads to effectively manage service delivery within available financial resources, and deliver optimal value for public money from their business area.


As the portfolio’s primary interface for the Finance function, the role will facilitate the required support from all Finance communities of expertise to deliver our customers’ strategic requirements in a timely and efficient manner.


The jobholder will facilitate and direct other Finance functional areas and their resources, such as the Business Intelligence Team, through active contribution to the work planning process, and, as necessary, through direct engagement with staff in different Finance functions involved in delivering outcomes to their portfolio.


ABOUT YOU

You will have extended post-qualification experience in delivering finance business partnering in a large, complex organisation; and extensive experience of financial reporting, planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.


You will have experience in the preparation of business cases, and provision of analysis and insight to support investment decision making; in the development and monitoring of savings and efficiency plans; and in the improvement of financial processes and financial management information.


You will have proven experience of effectively and constructively negotiating with non-finance stakeholders, and challenging financial information to secure optimal value for money from services; and experience of delivering high quality results and being able to manage competing priorities in an effective and resilient manner.


These full time posts are X2 permanent and x1 temporary for up to 12 months. They will require Management Level Vetting.You will work 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00.
