ABOUT THE JOB

To provide the required subject matter expertise in ensuring that the financial system is developed as required to support business processes and to effectively integrate with other business systems.

To lead an appropriate exercise to deliver a robust financial system, which meets the business and reporting needs of the organisation.

The jobholder will be responsible for the planning, design and delivery of the end to end process, including being accountable for the implementation of all system change, ensuring this is conducted in a controlled and well managed manner.

The Financial Systems Change Lead will be accountable for all required system configuration, data migration, dual running, testing and go-live activities; and for ensuring that the system meets the in-scope requirements of the CFO portfolio; and complies with all internal security requirements as well as all legislative requirements.

This post is flexible and can be based in either Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, Aberdeen or Inverness.

ABOUT YOU

You will be educated to degree level in an I.T. or accountancy field (or equivalent) with finance systems implementation experience or where no formal qualifications exist an extended period of proven finance systems and supervisory experience in a similar environment.

Proven knowledge and experience of accounting practices and financial processes, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cost Centre Accounting, Asset Management, Procurement and Financial Reporting.

Demonstrable experience of delivering significant financial system change projects.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Commitment / ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary finance team.

This full time post is temporary for 18 months and requires Management Vetting. You will work 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.
