ABOUT THE JOB

Police Scotland Digital Division is embarking on an ambitious programme to implement a range of 'enabling' technologies in support of operational policing. We are looking to recruit an experienced Technical Services Team Leader to support a range of innovative developments, including Single National Network and National Integrated Command and Control Service.

Please note that the job description supplied is generic and covers multiple roles within the ICT function. This specialist role is within the Infrastructure (Technical Security / Firewall) team. This is a small team of network engineers, responsible for providing technical security services to over 356 sites across Scotland.

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience in providing management of third line support on a similar size network. Certifications such as CCSE coupled with demonstrable experience in a hands on network security engineering role would be advantageous. Hands on experience in some of the following technologies would also be of benefit - LAN switching, VLANS, dynamic routing protocols, network monitoring tools, extended experience of traditional voice

This full time post is temporary until 31/03/2023 and will require Management Vetting and Security Clearance. You will work 35 hours per week Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm. The job can be based at any of our offices throughout Scotland - See below
