ABOUT THE JOB
To design, develop, administer, programme, support and maintain enterprise database systems and services, in accordance with agreed standards and to assist in providing a strategic coordination of these technologies within the general ICT environment across Police Scotland and the SPA.
ABOUT YOU
You will have knowledge and experience of:
·Relational database system management principles and practices.
·Database design (logical and physical) and implementation.
·The development and administration of relational database management systems, including a good working knowledge of SQL.
·Database backup and recovery technology and associated processes.
·Oracle 10g or above.
·Database design (logical and physical) and implementation.
You will be educated to degree level in a related computer science. Or software engineering discipline.
You will have excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem solving skills; and strong prioritisation and organisational skills, customer focused.
You will have the ability to work on own initiative with limited supervision and the ability to work under pressure as part of a team.
You will have proven skills related to team-working and working with customers to elicit and define requirement specifications.
You will have proven experience in a technical role related to enterprise database architecture, design, management and the delivery of enterprise data services.
This full time post is permanent and will require Management Level and Security Clearance Vetting. You will work 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 0900 – 1700.
