The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service would like to invite applications for the role of temporary Corporate Admin Support Assistant based at Service Headquarters, Cambuslang. This is a full time post however applications from individuals seeking to work on a part time, job share or flexible working basis would be considered.


The successful candidate will be required to work with the Corporate Admin team to provide a flexible business support to the Board, Strategic Leadership Team, Senior Management Team and Headquarters based functions as appropriate and in line with organisational objectives.


Previous experience of working within a busy general office environment, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Packages, in particular Word and Excel is essential, in addition to past experience of taking minutes is required.  Applicants must be able to work on your own initiative, prioritise your own workload and be able to meet tight deadlines in a fast changing environment whilst maintaining a strong attention to detail. You will need to be self-motivated and have excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills coupled with a flexible approach. A strong awareness of confidentiality is also essential.

Salary on appointment will normally be at the lower salary point, with progression subject to regular review - in line with the SFRS performance appraisal arrangements.  A higher salary placing will be considered in exceptional circumstances subject to experience demonstrated.
